Open Source Network Management Systems and OpenNMS Workshop
Dot-T Enterprise Systems & Solutions in collaboration with Botswana Innovation Hub has recently hosted a workshop on the utilisation of Open Source software for the monitoring and management of enterprise level networks including mobile and fixed telecommunication networks, security services e.g. police, military; utility companie, Internet Service Providers etc.
The Guest Speaker at the workshop was Dr Craig Gallen (OpenNMS UK) who was on a visit to the TeleManagement World Africa in Johannesburg. Dr Gallen is a renown telecommunication expert who has worked for several world class organisation in the telco domain including Nortel Networks, Invocom, Arqiva. Present at the workshop included representatives from all the major telcos in Botswana being Orange, Mascom, BeMobile, Botswana Telecommunications.
